Why would Marathon Oil rebrand itself to look like an ocean wave? Does an oil company really want to have that psychological association..? I don’t really see an oil company as having this “friendly” approach, I guess it’s impressive from a conservative client perspective.

I’ve started freelancing on the weekends, so basically I work nonstop. In addition to my freelancing job at G2, I’m on a continuous work streak, but it is going well. I really enjoy freelancing and meeting so many people, and the work keeps coming!
On the weekends I started doing freehand drawings for a tshirt company in South Carolina.
I never thought I’d get paid to...

Happy Thanksgiving from New York =]
I sure do miss Switzerland. I’m not quite sure why, maybe it’s because I’ve been around so many wonderful Swiss people lately. I’ve been working pretty hard in NYC though.
I was going through some old photos of mine and decided I may post a few.. The photos I did in my photo class were all inspired by David Levinthal. Click here and check him out.

I promise to keep updating my blog now that I’ve left Switzerland. I’ve got about 2,000 photos to go through.
I fly back to Chicago tomorrow, but I have no doubt i’ll be back :)
My time at Icon Worldwide is almost done—so I hope everyone will take a minute to check out my website that I’ve been working on and the new clients I’ve come to work with.

I will be leaving this in five days to fly into Chicago—and twenty-three days to possibly return to the dirtiest city ever, New York. ha!
Here is an unedited photo of Amsterdam. I met my dad there this past weekend because he was there on business during the weekend. It was lotssss of fun. I can’t believe I go home in a week. I bought my ticket back to NYC already too. I’m super excited to meet with some awesome design firms.
I will be in Amsterdam until Monday morning. I’m sure I will bring back some awesome photos to share! Check back then :)
Yes!
Gap rebranded, and is taking majorrrr heat for it on the design blogs! I can’t say I’m too keen of the new logo either, it doesn’t look nearly as classy as the old one did. I can’t seem to find out what firm was in charge of this project though?
Photo taken by Marcia Hoang, from when we went hiking. I only have two weeks left, time went by too fast.

You know it’s interesting to read design blogs of critiques of the rebranding of logos. Like today, I was reading Under Consideration.
But, what is really interesting, was the first time I saw Under Consideration critique the launch of AT&T’s Rethink Possible, which I helped out on while I at Interbrand. It was the first time I saw work I helped out on a design blog. Design is...
Well, I know this isn’t the best of pictures, but… it makes me so unbelievably happy to see this on my walk to the train station every morning. It is the perfect temperature outside right now.
Oh dear blog, how I’ve neglected you. Here’s a picture from Paris.
Today Icon Worldwide went out to lunch thanks to Jon and Lori :) I am sooo full. I had macaroni and cheese. It’s so good with the cheese from Switzerland.
I’m not going to like the food when I return to the states. They don’t use preservatives over here.
When in Germany at Oktoberfest, I decided to buy the largest pretzel I could find. It was €3.30.
I have been absent from blogging, but I have a good excuse. My laptop has been broken. I feel like part of my soul has been taken from me and will never return. No exaggeration there.
Besides that, I survived Oktoberfest in Munich! Yes! Take a look at pictures below. I arrived on Saturday, and Alynn and I managed to get into a tent around 2:00. We stood in a crowd of angry people.. The only...
I went to Paris with Marcia.. and it was awesome. My favorite part was of course the museums.. and The Louvre. Seeing art that you actually learn about in school in real life is insane. Textbooks just don’t do it justice.
The next week or two will be my Paris pictures :)
The slugs here are huge. I think it’s the organic food…who knows.
Tomorrow, I am leaving for Paris mid-day and will be back updating my blog on MONDAY, I hope everyone returns to view all the awesome pictures I get, and the weekend after that is Oktoberfest in Munich!
I’m half-way through my first jar of Nutella.. I think that means I’m almost officially Swiss. Or I guess I’d be Swiss-German, since I’m part German anyways… and I’d have a high-german accent because I like how those sound.
Nutella does the trick.
Lori and Jon took Marcia and I out to eat on Sunday and then we went for hike. The food was awesome, and we hiked past the border of Austria and Switzerland.

Two strawberries, two swiss cows, two swiss flags, one dolphin/shark(?), three sour straws filled with mysterious cream, one marshmallow banana, and one jawbreaker that looks like a paintball.

I went to Lugano, Switz this weekend and Valley of Versazce. I think it was my favorite place I have ever traveled to; and I have been to a lot of places. I have really awesome pictures to post late this week, so check back every day :)
Photo of me taken by Marcia, check out her blog here.

So you can rent cows here. RENT COWS. I really want to. You have to spend 4 hours a day with the cow you rent, and you get all the milk and cheese from it. So.. basically I would have to wake up at like 4 am with the farmers, and then get to work at 8ish like usual. Sounds legit to me! I mean how many times can you rent a cow? For more information.. in German, visit:...

Walking around in Gais.
I climbed a mountain today, and took a lot of decent pictures, so I have to post more than one. Besides my crushed sternum hurting me from my personal injury the other week… It was a good work-out.
Parasailing! It looks like so much fun!
Ahhh we went in a cave too:

Who would ever want to leave this?
Homemade coffee ice cream from the bakery I go to almost every morning. If there was one thing I could bring back to the states, it would be this right here.
